At the end of last week children from different parts of the World gathered in Södertälje for participating in the Children’s Climate Conference 2015 (CCC15). This in order to be able to influence the decisions of adults to stop climate change during the Paris Climate Conference 2015 (COP21).
Here is the children’s message to adults, which they have put together during the Conference:
Yesterday, there were also thousands of people demonstrating before the Paris Climate Conference 2015. Only in Gothenburg more than 4000 people participated in a demonstration which emanated from Gustaf Adolf Square.
The Paris Climte Conference 2015 is taking place November 30-December 11, the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It is simultaneously meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP11). The goal and the idea is now to achieve a new, binding climate agreement in which all countries would contribute to reducing the greenhouse effect.
