The library has purchased some new Spanish books, which I think that may be of particular interest:
Stories from Latin America/Historias De Latinoamerica
This book is bilingual and contains 16 legends from different countries in Latin America. You can read the legends in Spanish and English, listen to free audio files and find a spanish-english/english-spanish vocabulary in the end of the book.
Some students asked for poetry in Spanish. So the library also bought:
Introduction to Spanish Poetry: A Dual-Language Book
Some other news on the Spanish-shelf are the following youth novels:
Mi primer amor y una bruja merodeando/Juan Farias Huanqui
Un tiesto lleno de lápices/Juan Farias
Azul para las pesadillas/ Laurie Faria Stolarz
And Lonely planets phrasebooks and dictionaries:
Latin American Spanish
I would also recommend you to use the database Worldbook’s
Several other databases do also provide resources in Spanish.
And here is an journal article that gives some tips on Spanish learning-apps.
Hope some of this can be put to use!
Just let me know if you have any questions or title suggestions for purchase!
Thanks in advance!
