MYP7’s Mirror Project and the Pi Day

This week starting with the Pi Day, the library has the honor to host the results of MYP7’s mirror project. They have have worked with the mirror project in geometry. The students have designed mirrors for a company called ISEA, based on the following criterias:

  • The area should be 600 cm²
  • It should be price-worthy

To do this the students in MYP7 have:

  • Investigated different shapes
  • Designed their own mirror

Come and be a representative from ISEA and vote for the best mirror! At the same time you could take the opportunity to borrow a book in mathematics to celebrate the Pi Day! Otherwise you could also take part of some digital resources on Pi for teachers and number lovers.

Significantly the Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is useful in mathematics when solving geometry problems involving circles. It represent a constant which is approximately 3.14159. Here are some recommendations on books in mathematics:
