Book tips on diversity and democracy

With the current global events many people are feeling worried about what the future may hold. Many of us also have questions and are perhaps confused by what the media and what high profile individuals are saying. Understanding foreign election processes, legal processes or even human rights law can be challenging.

A part of the role of the library is to encourage people to explore controversial issues and viewpoints. This helps us to draw conclusions based on fact, law and reason. At ISGR/IHGR library we would like to support you by providing books tips on issues such as, diversity, democracy, conflict, women’s rights and voting rights. We have a few books for you to look at out on display and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Our library is an open, tolerant, global minded heart of the school. Here you should feel safe, respected, free and given equal opportunities regardless of your background, sexual orientation, ability, religion or gender. This is also enshrined in Swedish law and part of The Swedish Library Act. If you have any suggestions on how we can make the library a better place for everyone, please let us know. Have a peaceful week and we look forward to seeing you in the library soon!
